Today, these solutions, called Virtual Grid Appliances, include: Integrity for control of (P2P) traffic and protection against illicit file-sharing and the loss of proprietary data. Red Lambda was founded in 2005 by a team of experts from network engineering, security, the hard sciences, and software development who believed that there had to be a better way to secure organizations. Red Lambda has focused on solutions that coordinate and harmonize resources, allowing them to be used together to collectively protect against threats, automate workflow, and mitigate risk.
In 2007, Red Lambda pioneered the world’s first grid-based solution to control illicit P2P file-sharing and automate DMCA compliance on major university campuses. Today, Red Lambda’s Integrity™ solution allows universities and colleges to identify P2P traffic and enforce compliance policies for illicit file-sharing. In addition, Integrity supports university efforts, educating and empowering students to be responsible users in compliance with acceptable use policies (AUP).
