Due to further expansion, we are looking to recruit an ambitious and hardworking Senior Business Development Manager to join one of the UK’s leading distributors of IT security solutions, based in Oswestry, Shropshire.

The Senior Business Development Manager will work in a fast paced and successful sales team, focused on the exciting world of IT security, networking and cutting edge technology within business. Tasked with driving face to face appointments for Account/Product Managers, the candidate will need to develop an in depth knowledge of current vendor offerings, be capable of up selling products, keep abreast of new and emerging technologies, relationship building with all contacts and uncovering opportunities within a new client base.

Job Description

Key Tasks / Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the further development of existing key accounts. In addition, you will be tasked with seeking to gain new revenue streams whilst identifying new opportunities and maintaining a consistent sales pipeline across defined fiscal periods will be pivotal to the success of the role.

  • Proactively work with existing customers and deliver on sales strategy
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts
  • Ensure customer service levels are meeting customer expectations
  • Generate and maintain pipeline
  • Work on up sell and cross sell of products and services

Key Skills / Experience:

  • Previous career history within the IT Sales industry (3+ years’ experience)
  • Proven track record of hitting / exceed sales targets within a B2B environment
  • A good understanding of the IT Sales Channel and where companies align within this structure
  • Ability to maintain multiple relationships with channel partners in the market
  • Must have a strong desire succeed by overcoming challenges and solving difficult problems
  • High productivity ethic and goal orientation
  • Solution oriented approach to selling

Salary:

£31,000 – £37,000 + OTE dependant on experience

The Business Development Executive will work in a fast paced and successful sales team, focused on the exciting world of IT security, networking and cutting edge technology within business. Tasked with driving face to face appointments for Account/Product Managers, the candidate will need to develop an in depth knowledge of current vendor offerings, be capable of upselling products, keep abreast of new and emerging technologies, relationship building with all contacts and uncovering opportunities within a new client base.

The role requires significant interaction with clients, face-to-face and over the telephone so you will be a motivated, proactive individual, capable of building relationships with existing clients, new contacts and comfortable in a targeted, high velocity telesales environment.

You will receive full training and mentoring on a wide range of sales and account management skills including:

  • Identifying and developing new business through networking and follow-up calls;
  • Telemarketing, in order to create interest in products and services and generate new business leads and arrange meetings;
  • Meeting sales targets set by Managers and contributing to team targets;
  • Networking with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades;
  • Assisting customers to maximise their use of IT technologies in order to support the success and growth of their business;

Salary:

Salary £15,000 – £18,000 + OTE dependant upon experience
